Members of the Shechita Committee of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe conduct a professional visit to the “Euro Glatt” kosher meat slaughterhouse in Poland. The delegation was led by Rabbi Eliezer Lieber Schneebalg, Rabbi and Av Beit Din of Edgware, London; Rabbi Yaakov Dovid Schmahl, Dayan of the Shomrei Hadat community in Antwerp; and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Kahn, halachic authority and member of the Lubavitch Rabbinical Bet Din in Paris. They were joined by Rabbi Arie Goldberg, CEO of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe, and Rabbi Yossi Bainhaker, RCE Vice President.
During the visit, the rabbis closely supervised the shechita process, examining the stringencies and halachic standards upheld at the facility, as well as the rigorous inspections carried out throughout every stage of production. The delegation expressed strong appreciation for professionalism, transparency, and strict adherence to halachic requirements that define the operation.
The rabbis commended the team of shochtim, inspectors, and kashrut supervisors for their dedicated and precise work, noting that the level of supervision meets the high standards expected across Jewish communities throughout Europe.
This Mehudar standard of shechita, which has gained broad acceptance across diverse communities in Europe over the past two years, is designed to accommodate both those who adhere to Beit Yosef glatt standards and those who follow Lubavitch shechita practices. As a result, the “Euro Glatt” brand has been widely embraced by Jewish communities across Europe, offering high standards of kashrut at an accessible cost.
The Rabbinical Centre of Europe noted that this visit is part of a broader series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the kashrut infrastructure across the continent and ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality kosher meat products for Jewish communities throughout Europe.
