Over 120 Jewish European Youths are scheduled to come for Bar/Bat-Mitzvah Trip in Israel

During the children’s stay in Israel, they will visit many famous sites and sacred places. The highlight of the tour will be a Bar /Bat Mitzvah celebration and ceremony at the Kotel, with the participation of notable personalities government officials.

Boys from Germany, Spain, Ukraine and Russia celebrated their Bar Mitzvah and received Tefillin during an emotional ceremony on Thursday Feb. 27th at the Western Wall.

The journey was initiated by the “Morasha” division of “The Rabbinical Center of Europe “for the 11th consecutive year. The highlight of the tour took place at The Kotel with an unforgettable Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony.

The young boys and girls, some with no Jewish background, recently experienced a spectacular tour of Israel. The journey was initiated by the “Morasha” division of “The Rabbinical Center of Europe “for the 10th consecutive year. The highlight of the tour took place at The Kotel with an memorable Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony; every boy received his own set of tefilin.

Morasha: Dozens of European youth prepare for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Journey to Israel

Rabbi Yosef Bainhaker, Deputy Director-General and head of RCE’s Morasha division, stated that the point of the Journey is to connect these young people to their Jewish identity, as they don’t live in Jewish surroundings, through year-round activities, with emphasis on the Holidays.

למעלה ממאה ילדים וילדות יהודים מאוקראינה, בולגריה, גרמניה, הונגריה, צרפת, ומדינות נוספות מרחבי אירופה יגיעו לישראל בתחילת חודש אדר במסגרת מסע בני ובנות מצווה ייחודי אותו הם יקיימו. המסע נערך זו השנה התשיעית, ביוזמת אגף ‘מורשה’ של ‘מרכז רבני אירופה’.
