Public Figures and Senior Officials from RCE Participated in the Inauguration of a European Chesed Center in the Capital of Georgia
The European Chesed Center in Tbilisi, initiated by the RCE, added up to the 26th center inaugurated in the past two years • The RCE is vigorously aiming to reach 50 branches in the European Jewish communities.
The European Chesed Centre run by the RCE opened a new branch for lending medical equipment in the Tbilisi Georgia. It was the 26th branch opened by the RCE in the past 2 years for the benefit of the Jewish communities in Europe. The department is orchestrated by the Vice-President of the RCE, Rabbi Yosef Bainhaker.
The new branch is being managed by Rabbi Meir Kozlovski, Rabbi of the Jewish community in Tbilisi. Participants included The Israeli Ambassador Ron Gidor and his staff, leaders of Jewish organizations in the city and senior officials of the Rabbinical Center of Europe, General – Director Rabbi Arie Goldberg, Vice President Rabbi Yosef Bainhaker and Marketing Consultant Eitan Dobkin.
The European Chesed Centre is an integral part of the educational and charitable institutions in Tbilisi. The center is equipped with a large and rich variety of medical equipment for all ages and provides a complete solution for those in need. All equipment was donated by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe.
The chairman of the RCE, Rabbi Menachem Margolin, sent a congratulatory speech in which he noted Rabbi Meir Kozlowski’s wonderful dedication to the Jewish community in Tbilisi and the time and effort he puts in to ensure its present and future development.
Rabbi Meir Kozlovski thanked the leaders of the “Rabbinical Centre of Europe” for the paramount initiative and said that the “European Chesed Centre” has provided tremendous momentum for the community. “Every resident of Tbilisi knows that if he needs expensive medical equipment, he can come to us, and we will assist him.”
The European Chesed Centre, established by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe, aims to open 50 medical equipment lending centers in 50 European cities. The project began at the outbreak of the pandemic to support European Jews in need of medical equipment. Every branch provides medical equipment designed for every age and stage and it’s a first project of its kind for European Jews.
The Vice President of the RCE, Rabbi Yosef Bainhaker and Marketing Consultant Eitan Dobkin are inspected European Chesed Centres in Romania managed by Rabbi Naftali Deitch, and in Sofia, Bulgaria under the direction of Rabbi Yosef Salomon. They were deeply impressed by the activities and development of the charity centers in the city.
